UIFSA: Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, Uniform laws passed by each state that govern the procedures for the interstate establishment and enforcement of paternity and child Support. Replaced the old URESA laws.

URESA: Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act, the statute which formerly enabled one state to request assistance from another state in establishing or enforcing a child Support order against a parent located in the other state. Now governed by UIFSA.
